- Register your pregnancy early with the ASHA, ANM, Anganwadi or the nearest health centre and get the MCP card.
- Go for check-ups and give birth in a government or accredited hospital.
- Give your bank details at the hospital; the money is sent after delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get both JSY and PM Matru Vandana?+
Yes. They are separate schemes; JSY is for giving birth in a hospital, PMMVY is ₹5,000 for the first child (₹6,000 if the second child is a girl).
